    Fried Twinkie

    List of Ingredients

    1 Twinkie
    1 cp flour
    1 tbsp malt vinegar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    12 oz water


    Recipe

    Place twinkie in refrigerator for cooling. Roll in flour. Mix vinegar, baking powder, salt and water until it is the consistency of a custard. Roll twinkie in the batter. Drop the twinkie into an industrial deep fryer for 90 seconds, just until the filling is starting to melt and the outside is a "nice golden brown." Top with powdered sugar, cut in half on the bias and serve with a berry coulis.
    Coulis: Put equal quantities of frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries into a pan on low heat with a tablespoon of sugar for each cup of berries used. When mixture begins to boil, put it into a blender. Then put it through a sieve, pushing the pulp of the berries through.
