My Gingerbread

List of Ingredients
3 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Ribbon Cane Syrup
1 Cup Wesson Oil
2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Cloves
1 Teaspoon Ginger
2 Teaspoons Soda
1/8 Cup Hot Water
1 Cup Boiling Water
Recipe
Sift flour and spices; set aside.
Beat eggs and sugar well, add Wesson oil and syrup, and beat again. Put soda into the 1/8th cup of hot water and add to this mixture.
Add dry ingredients to liquid ingredients and beat until smooth. Add the 1 cup boiling water and beat fast.
Pour into a buttered and floured 9x13" pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
Cool and cut into generous squares. To serve, spoon whipped cream on slice of gingerbread and pour lemon sauce over cream.
