THE VINEGAR KEEPS IT CRISP
List of Ingredients
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 tsp salt
½ green pepper, chopped
½ c water
1 small onion, chopped
2 c sugar
1 tsp celery seed
1 c white vinegar
Recipe
Mix salt & cabbage. Let stand for at least an hour.
Drain and add
celery and green pepper. In saucepan, boil water,
vinegar, sugar &
celery seed for 1 minute. Cool. Mix with cabbage
mixture and store
in airtight containers. Keeps in refrigerator 2 weeks,
and in
freezer for 1 year.
