    We have lots of odds and ends of breads in freezers and will
    take a few different kinds and cut into sticks/strips shaped
    pieces and batter fry. I can just have the equivelent to one
    whole slice the rest of family 2 whole slices. Dip in jams
    and/or syrups.
    1 egg
    buttermilk or evaporated milk to thin
    cornstarch
    sugar or fructose
    1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
    mix the above ingredients
    dip the bread sticks shaped pieces in mixture when ready to
    fry in hoot oil over mediem high heat. Do not dip ahead of
    time as they will be soggy.

    Ricky and I are having ours on toasted extra sourdough rye
    bread and jared on buttermilk bread. We made the eggs when
    we boiled eggs for chef salad. some we saved to add to
    pickled beets. Becaue of being diabetic I can only have one
    slice bread...I just spred the egg salad on mine top with
    luttuce and tomato slice.

    Just dipping the tops of krispy treats made earlier in the
    week in melted chocolate. If this were winter would dip
    entire treat.

    COTTAGE CHEESE/MASHED POTATOES PIEROGIES...$1.00
    2 Cups flour
    2 large eggs
    water
    make noodle dough.
    roll and cut into circles or squares, put into pierogie
    press fill and press down and seal edges with water. I am
    using my flower one. It makes flower stuffed noodles.

    1/2-1 cup cottage cheese
    1/2-1 cup cold mashed potatoes
    flour
    mix and fill noodles.

    Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil and add stuffed
    noodles, cook until done, Remove and sautee in below.
    1 large onion
    butter or margarine
    sautee onions in melted butter and then add cooked
    pierogies and sautee all. Serve. There are 3 classic
    pierogies mixtures. Mashed potatoes/cottage cheese,
    sauerkraut/ fried bacon, plum.
    I grew up on the first two made by my Polish grandmother.
