    List of Ingredients




    1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes, undrained
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    4 slices bacon
    1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced

    Roux:
    3 TB flour
    4 TB water

    Salt
    Pepper

    Recipe



    Fry bacon in skillet until done, but not crisp, cut into pieces.

    Add onions and green peppers to skillet. Saute until soft.

    Add tomatoes and simmer 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Mix flour with enough water to make the roux. Add this to the other
    ingredients stirring constantly until thickened.

    Serve over cooked rice.

    Serves 4 to 6.
