    Once you have bought your grain storage and/or as you are
    buying
    and/or replishing it...keep small quanties of it with in
    easy reach.
    Store the rest in pest proof bins.
    Here are some suggestions as to what to have on your
    counters or very

    easy reach.
    I keep some whole wheat flours in my kitchen freezer as
    these must
    be refigetaed or frozen as they go rancid. Yeast in freezer
    and
    fridge.
    Grains ,
    assorted legumes
    baking ingedients
    extracts and flavorings
    cocoa powders
    sweetners
    zests
    instant powdered milk
    oils

    in kitchen freezer:
    dry yeast
    whole wheat flours
    cornmeals
    in jars,lidded cans and tins:
    white flour unbleached
    white all -purpose flour
    cream of wheat
    oatmeal
    cracked wheat
    wheat hearts
    browned flour for gravies etc.
    bisquick like mixes
    cornstarch
    baking soda
    baking powder
    cream of tartar
    salt
    tapicoa instand and pearl
    teas assorted
    little pastas
    assorted pastas
    split green peas
    split yellow peas
    a mix of split green and yellow peas
    lentils
    lentils mixed 1 part lentils,1 part green split peas,1 part
    yellow
    split peas...all require same cooking time
    a mix of the directly above with 1 part barley
    barley
    rice
    navy beans
    kidney beans
    little white beans
    pinto beans
    black beans
    turtle beans
    white mung beans
    little red beans
    unsweetned cocoa powder
    sweetned cocoa powder
    instant sweetned cocoa powder
    instant malt powder
    honey
    granulated sugar
    powder sugar
    artificial sweetner
    assorted spices
    assorted extracts and flavorings
    shortening
    oils
    pam like spray
    grated zests in freezer
    zests in salt
    zests in sugars/fructose
    cans of evaporated milk
    real cider vinegar
    white vinegar
    flavored vinegars
    chcolate chips marshamllows
    geltains mixes
    pudding mixes..most homemade
    koolaid unsweetned
    marshmallows
    assorted baking chips
