    SMOKED TURKEY IN A BAG

    1 10-12 lb turkey
    1/4 c vegetable oil
    1/2 c seasoned salt
    1/4 c garlic powder
    4 Tbsp liquid smoke

    Preheat oven to 350~. Grease paper bag with oil, set aside. Rinse the turkey off and pat dry with paper towels. Don't forget to remove the sacks that contain the giblets and neck. Make a paste of the oil, salt, powder, and smoke. Rub paste on the turkey inside and out. Slip turkey into the bag and tie the bag closed. Place bag in a roasting pan without lid and cook for 3 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and let sit in closed bag for 1/2 hour. This will be the most tender turkey you've ever had!
