    "The Microwave Library: Soups and Hors D'ouerves"

    List of Ingredients




    4 slices whole wheat toast
    4 slices ham
    2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
    1 tbsp. butter
    Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    3 tbsp. cream
    Tomato wedges (optional)
    Sprigs of watercress (optional)

    Top each slice of toast with a slice of ham and keep warm. Put the cheese and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high, stirring once every minute, for three minutes or until cheese has melted.

    Season with salt and pepper, stir in Worcestershire sauce, paprika and cream. Cook on medium for 8 minutes, stirring once every minute, or until smooth and creamy.

    Top the toast and ham with the cheese mixture and serve garnished with tomato wedges and sprigs of watercress (if desired).

    Serves 4.
