    Congo Bars

    "Camellia Delights", by the Altrusa Club of Gulfport

    List of Ingredients

    2/3 c. butter
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 2/3 c. plain flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lg. pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe

    Melt butter, let cool. Mix butter with brown sugar, and one egg at a time, beat after each egg. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix with brown sugar, eggs, and butter mixture. Mix well.

    Add chocolate chips and vanilla, along with nuts. Mix well. Pour into greased 15x10-1/2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut in squares after cooling.
