    List of Ingredients


    • 6 CUPS HALF AND HALF CREAM
    • 2 CUPS MILK
    • 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
    • 1/8 TEASPOON SALT
    • 5 EGG S
    • 5 EGG YOLKS
    • 2 CUPS WHIPPING CREAM
    • 1 1/2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
    • 3 CUPS FLAKED COCONUT---FRESH IS BEST
    • 2 TEASPOONS COCONUT EXTRACT


    Instructions


    1. IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN, COMBINE THE FIRST FOUR INGREDIENTS.
    2. COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES
    3. REMOVE FROM HEAT.
    4. IN A BOWL BEAT EGGS AND EGG YOLKS.
    5. STIR IN 1 CUP HOT CREAM MIXTURE TO EGGS, THEN RETURN TO PAN.
    6. COOK AND STIR UNTIL SLIGHTLY THICKENED.
    7. COOL,
    8. REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT.
    9. IN A BOWL BEAT WHIPPING CREAM AND EXTRACTS UNTIL STIFF PEAKS FORM.
    10. FILL ICE CREAM MAKER CYLINDER TWO THIRDS FULL.
    11. WORK ICE CREAM MAKER ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURES DIRECTIONS.
    12. REFRIGERATE ANY REMAINING MIXTURE UNTIL READY TO FREEZE.
