Recipe Introduction


I LOVE this bread. It's a lovely, dense loaf. I love it with a schmear of cream cheese, or just butter. Or perhaps a not-too-sweet fruit spread.

This is a 1.5 pound loaf.


List of Ingredients




1 1/8 cups water
1.5 teaspoons salt
1.5 tablespoons oil
1/3 cup molasses (give the measuring cup a spritz of PAM first)
3 tablepoons (1/2 oz) cocoa (unsweetened)
1.5 cups bread flour
1 cup rye flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon caraway seeds
2 teaspoons yeast

Recipe



Place all in bread pan (I've listed in the order that I do so). Select light crust setting and let 'er rip.
