Heirloom Holiday Custard
This recipe is passed on from Grandma Glanz, who makes gallons and gallons and gallons every year, to my mom and now it is a traditional holiday treat at our house.
List of Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 4 cups sugar
- 4 dash salt
- 1 gallon milk
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a double boiler. Stir milk in slowly.
- Heat on medium heat without boiling for about 45 minutes to an hour stirring almost constantly.
- DO NOT BOIL.
- When complete add the vanilla.
