Crockpot Tangy Rump Roast
I shared this recipe with some friends at work. Everyone tried it and loved it. It is so different and strange, it gets your attention.
List of Ingredients
- 1 rump roast 3-5# (though people have tried other cuts of meats too)
- 1 pkg. oion soup mix
- 1 can cranberry sauce--jellied
- 2 tablespoons butter/margarine softened
- 2 tablespoons flour
Instructions
- Place roast in crockpot.
- Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
- Spoon cranberry sauce around and over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours.
- Remove roast from crockpot.
- Turn crockpot to high.
- Blend butter/margarine into a paste and whisk into the gravy.
- Cover and cook on high for about 10 minuters, until thick.
Final Comments
I think next time I try this I am going to use a pork roast. Someone at work said she was going to try it with meatballs.
