    Crockpot Tangy Rump Roast

    I shared this recipe with some friends at work. Everyone tried it and loved it. It is so different and strange, it gets your attention.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 rump roast 3-5# (though people have tried other cuts of meats too)
    • 1 pkg. oion soup mix
    • 1 can cranberry sauce--jellied
    • 2 tablespoons butter/margarine softened
    • 2 tablespoons flour


    Instructions


    1. Place roast in crockpot.
    2. Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
    3. Spoon cranberry sauce around and over the roast.
    4. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours.
    5. Remove roast from crockpot.
    6. Turn crockpot to high.
    7. Blend butter/margarine into a paste and whisk into the gravy.
    8. Cover and cook on high for about 10 minuters, until thick.


    Final Comments


    I think next time I try this I am going to use a pork roast. Someone at work said she was going to try it with meatballs.
