Peanut Butter Cereal Squares

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup corn syrup
7 cups rice krispie cereal
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips or M&M's
1 cup pecans (optional)

Recipe



Place cereal, coconut, chocolate chips, nuts in large bowl and mix together. Put sugar and corn syrup in saucepan and cook until sugar is dissolved. Add peanut butter, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour over cereal mixture. Mix together well and pat into large buttered jelly roll pan or two 9 x 13-inch pans. Let cool and cut into squares.
