    Recipe Introduction


    Great if you want to put someone on KP duty.
    This is for 1 serving. Can be doubled. If they are really in deep doo you might want to have them do enough servings for the high school lunch.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 potato
    • Ice Water
    • Oil or fat


    Instructions


    1. Peel the potato [that's KP duty]. Slice into strips 2 inches long, 3/4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
    2. Put in the ice water and let stand 1 hour. Drain and ry between towels.
    3. Fry in deep fat fryer [325F] until golden brown.
    4. Drain on unglazed paper.
    5. IF you want to make them fancy {Parisienne Potatoes} use a small melon scooper to scoop out small balls and fry as above.


    Final Comments


    Or you can dump in a bunch of frozen fries that have been in the freezer case gawd knows how long and done on equipment that you have NO clue how clean it is. Besides fresh really does make a difference all that aside. No soggy fries here.
