    No-Fry YEAST Doughnuts

    2 packages active dry yeast
    1 1/2 cups warm water
    1 1/2 cups luke warm milk
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup butter or margarine melted
    1/3 cup shortening
    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    Recipe



    Mix 2 cups of flour with all the rest of the ingredients. Blend well.
    Stir in remaining flour and let the mixture rise in a warm place. Cut
    in to doughnuts. With a spatula, place 2 inches apart on a cookie
    sheet. Allow to rise until doubled in size; about 20 minutes. Bake in
    a 425 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
