    Mix
    3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup sugar
    3/4 cup raisins
    2 cups quick oats
    1 cup flour
    1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    To Make Cookies
    3/4 cup soft butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Mix: Place brown sugar in a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar. Layer
    sugar,
    raisins and otats on top. Pack after each addition. Combine remaining
    ingredients in a small bowl and pour into jar. Seal and attach baking
    directions.

    Cookies: Empty mix into a large mixing bowl; stir to combine. Add
    butter,
    egg and vanilla; blend well. Shape into walnut-sized balls and place on
    greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 11 to 13 minutes or
    until
    edges are golden. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
