    Source of Recipe

    A Tulsa Firefighter

    Recipe Introduction

This recipe makes a large amount of sauce, so I'm adding two versions: 1) the original, and 2) the "down-sized" version. You decide how much you need!

    List of Ingredients

Original Version: (makes about 1-1/2 gallons)

    1 gallon of ketchup(128 oz.)
    5 Tblsp. liquid smoke
    5 Tblsp. Bar-B-Que spice
    1 cup yellow table mustard
    1 cup apple cider vinegar
    2 cups water
    8 cups honey
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. garlic salt

Down-Sized Version: (makes about 1-1/2 quarts)

    32 oz. ketchup
    1-1/4 Tblsp. liquid smoke
    1-1/4 Tblsp. Bar-B-Que spice
    1/4 cup mustard
    1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    1/2 cup water
    2 cups honey
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt

    Recipe

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and simmer until warm.

    Bottle and keep refrigerated.
