    2 cups brown sugar
    2 cups butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 cup white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 cups toasted almonds
    20 cups popcorn

    Recipe



    But brown sugar, butter, salt and syrup in a heavy saucepan and boil for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda (mixture will foam - this is normal).

    Put the popcorn and nuts in a large roasting pan. Pour mixture evenly over popcorn and nuts. Mix until all popcorn is well coated.

    Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
