I think I may be the only one on here not to have made the earthquake cake. I looked back in the search for the original poster and founds tons of different variations.
So sorry I did not get the one that posted this variation. But a huge thank you for it.
It turned out GREAT. Way too good. If anything is better than this, it really doesnt need to be!! Looks ugly. I wondered about the baking time, but it was perfect for my oven.
List of Ingredients
1 c coconut
1 c nuts
German Chocolate Cake Mix (prepared)
Recipe
Spread above ingred. on bottom of greased 9X13 pan. Mix german chocolate cake mix according to box directions, pour over the bottom layer.
Mix together:
1 8oz pkg. cream chese, softened
3 1/2 c powdered sugar
1 stick butter melted
pour over cake layer. Bake 1 hour and 10 min. at 325*
