    Praline Bars (Easy)

    Source of Recipe

    TOH BB Gaudrey
I got this recipe from a Home Economist for the local power company about 50 years ago. It's equally as good with salty crackers as it is with graham crackers. I sometimes use Captain's Wafers and people seem to like the combination of salty/sweet. I like to chop my pecans in the foor processor so they are not in too big pieces. Hope you like these.

    Praline Bars

    24 square graham crackers
    1 stick of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350°. Place crackers in a jelly roll pan in a single layer. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil and allow to boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Pour evenly over the crackers. Bake until bubbling hot all over, about 10 minutes. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Cut along the markings in the center of the crackers to make 48 bars.
NOTE: If desired, sprinkle with 1 cup of chocolate chips and allow to melt before cutting. Spread evenly over the bars. If desired, substitute 48 Captain's Wafers for the graham crackers.
