    2 cups dates
    1 cup water
    1 cup sugar
    Salt
    1-1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 cup butter
    1-1/2 cup flour
    2 cup oatmeal
    1 teaspoon soda dissolved in 1/2 cup water

    Recipe



    Combine first 4 ingredients and cook to paste. Cool
    Cream butter and brown sugar and add flour and oats,then soda mix.
    Spread half in 8 by 12 dish, spread with date mix then rest of crumbs.
    Bake at 325 for 1 hour.
    Serve with whipped cream.
