    GREEN RICE CASSEROLE

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Cups uncooked instant rice
    • 1 Pint (16 oz) sour cream
    • 1 Can Cream of Celery Soup
    • 2 Cans green chilies (undrained)
    • 2 Cups shredded cheese (casserole blend)


    Instructions


    1. Cook rice according to package
    2. In a large bowl mix together sour cream, soup and green chilies
    3. Add salt and pepper to taste
    4. Add cooked rice and mix well
    5. In a 9 X 13 pan, put a layer of rice, then a layer of cheese
    6. Alternate and end with cheese
    7. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes


    Final Comments


    Original recipe calls for 1 Cup shredded mild cheddar and 1 Cup shredded American cheese. Carol uses the casserole blend with the same results.
