    LAYERED TORTILLA PIE

    One of my husbands favorites.

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. hamburger meat
    1 onion - chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 T. margarine
    1 8 oz can tomato sauce
    1 small can sliced ripe olives (optional)
    1 T. chili powder
    1 t. salt
    1/4 t. peopper
    6 corn tortillas, buttered
    2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
    1/4-1/2 C. water

    Recipe



    Brown meat, onion, and garlic in margarine. Drain.

    Add tomato sauce, olives, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer till blended. Add hamburger mixture.

    In round 2 qt. casserole dish, alternate layers of tortillas, meat sauce, and cheddar cheese. End w/cheese topping.

    Pour water at edge of casserole into bottom of dish.

    Bake, covered at 400 for 25 min. Remove cover and allow to stand 5 min. before cutting into wedges.
