    French Pudding Cake
    Serves 10

    Cake:
    2 cups granulated sugar
    5 egg whites
    1 pkg saltine crackers
    1 1/2 tsp vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 to 2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
    Topping:
    1 large cool whip
    1 8oz cream cheese
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 can cherry or blueberry pie filling

    Fold beaten egg whites (beat until stiff) into sugar. Crush crackers and add vinegar and baking powder. Fold this into egg whites and sugar then fold nuts into mixture flour cake pan. Cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Let cake cool.

    Mix cool whip, cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. After the cake is cool, spread over it. Then spread pie filling on top. Keep in refrigerator.
