    DAVID'S COOKIES.
    ****************
    1 cup shortening
    1 cup sugar
    4 tbsp. molasses
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 cups flour
    3 tsp soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves

    Mix all ingredients together. Roll dough into small balls the size the size of walnuts and roll in sugar. Pat to desired thickness and bake at 350F. degrees until done. Makes 3 dozen.
