    MINUTE STEAK STEW

    1 to 2 lb. round steak or cube steak
    1 medium onion
    1 green pepper
    6 medium potatoes (peeled & quartered)
    6 medium carrots (cut to serving size)
    1 cup frozen peas
    1, 8-oz. can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    Worchestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili pepper, black pepper, to taste, if desired

    Pound steak and cube. Roll in seasoned flour. Brown in shortening with chopped onions & peppers. Place into large dutch oven. Pour in sauce with 2 cans water. Add potatoes, carrots, and peas. Cook slowly until tender, about 1 hour.
