    Irish Corned Beef in Beer

    Always make for St.Patrick's Day

    List of Ingredients

    3 medium onions sliced
    1 lb. carrots cut up or small carrots
    very small potatoes about 10
    1 3-4 lb corned beef Flat Cut
    3 bottles beer Guiness Extra Stout
    1/2 cup brown sugar

    Glaze: equal parts honey and mustard

    always buy the flat cut as it cuts in nice pieces without breaking apart

    Recipe

    Place vegetables on bottom of slow cooker. Trim fat from corned beef, place meat on top of vegetables. Sprinkle brown sugar over meat. Pour beer over all and cover, cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or until done When done take out of crockpot and put in a foil pan and coat with honey mustard mixture and bake uncovered for 30 mins
    Serves 6
