    SHERBERTED ICED TEAS

    Source of Recipe

Believed to be of Italian origin

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/2 C. Brewed and chilled Earl Grey or other flavored leaf tea, regular or decaffinated.
    • 1 C. Brewed and chilled instant tea mix, regular or decaffinated.
    • 2 Small scoops of lemon, key lime, orange, lime, tangerine, mint or peach sherbert.

    Instructions

    1. Blend the required amounts of the two teas into a 16oz., chilled, iced tea glass.

    2. Slip the two small scoops of your selected sherbert flavor into the top of the glass and serve with a soda straw and an iced tea spoon.

    3. If you wish, more than one flavor of sherbert may be used.

    4. The recipe amounts can be cut to one-half for an 8oz. glass serving size, or to three-fourths for a 12oz. glass.

    Final Comments

DO NOT USE ICE CREAM FOR THIS RECIPE! The high water-ice content of the sherbert provides an extremely smooth mouth to the tea with just the right amount of sweetness. The sherbert can be broken up into chunks in the tea or completely blended into it, according to each drinker's desire.
