    Recipe Introduction

Homemade Cereal Cubes May Be Safely Kept in the Freezer for 3 Months. It is preferable to use the cubes within 1 month however

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup finely ground brown rice
    • 1 cup water

    Instructions

    1. 1. Bring liquid to boil in saucepan.
      2. Add the rice powder while stirring constantly.
      3. Simmer for 10 minutes, whisking constantly, mix in formula or breast milk and fruits if desired
      3. Serve warm.

    Final Comments

Makin baby cereal is a bit tricky; some parents write to us to say that the recipe called for too much water whilst others say they had to add 2 extra cups of water. We find that the texture and "gloopiness" will depend a lot on the type of rice used as well as the texture of the powder you have created. If you find that the cereal is cooking up too sticky or too thick, you may add water while cooking the cereal. You may also further process the cooked homemade cereal in a food processor or blender.
