    Apple Spice Custard Cake

    2 quarts Spice cake mix
    1 quart well drained, chopped, canned apples or pears
    2(14-ounce)cans EAGLE® BRAND Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
    2 cups sour cream
    1/2 cup lemon juice from concentrate
    ground cinnamon (as desired)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

    Stir in apples or pears. Pour batter into well-greased pan.

    Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick near center comes out clean.

    In mixer bowl, combine EAGLE BRAND and sour cream; mix well. Stir in lemon juice.

    Spread sour cream mixture evenly over hot cake. Return to oven, bake 5 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Cool. Chill. Refrigerate leftovers.
