ENGLISH TOFFEE CANDY
List of Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
3 Tblsp water
3 plain chocolate candy bars
1/2 lb butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Recipe
Place sugar, butter and water in saucepan. Cook for 10 minutes or until brown, stirring to prevent burning. Add vanilla. Pour in a thin layer in a buttered pan. Lay candy bars on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle nuts on top. When cold, break evenly into pieces. (This makes good Christmas candy!) This recipe may be made with 1 cup nuts and 4 Hershey bars.
