Pack a quart jar 1/2 full with prepared fruit. Pour 12 tblsp sugar over the top. Pack with more fruit leaving 1" headroom. Fill with boiling water to within 1/2" of top and secure lid. Turn jar over a few times to start sugar dissolving. Process in hot water bath for 20 minutes. It also says you can cut the sugar down as far as 2/3 cup per quart if you like.
