    List of Ingredients

    Layer One:
    1 1/4 cup chopped celery
    3/4 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup butter
    6 cups dry bread cubes
    1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
    1/4 teaspoon ground sage
    Salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup to 1 cup chicken broth

    Layer Two:
5 chicken or 4 turkey breast halves
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1/4 cup sour cream

    Layer Three:
    6 to 7 peeled potatoes
    1/2 cup sour cream
    4 ounces cream cheese
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1 1/2 cup grated cheese

    Recipe

In a small saucepan, saute celery and onion in butter. Place dry bread cubes in a large bowl and sprinkle with seasonings. Add onion mixture and toss with enough chicken broth to moisten. Spread dressing in the bottom of an 8 1/2-inch-by-12-by-2 1/2-inch baking pan. In a large pot, boil chicken in water with the garlic powder until done. Drain and chop. In a medium-sized bowl, add soup, sour cream and chopped chicken. Stir and spread over the dressing mix. In a large pot, boil potatoes in salt water until tender. Drain and whip with sour cream and cream cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spread over chicken mixture. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes. Garnish with celery or parsley sprigs after baking. Serves 10.
