    Can substitute lemon juice as well.

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup evaporated milk
    2/3 cup sugar
    Juice of 3 Key limes or 1 Persian lime, strained
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Grated Key lime or Persian lime peel
    One 9-inch sponge cake or rum cake

    Recipe



    Chill the milk. Beat with an electric mixer until foamy. Add the sugar. Whip again. Add the lime juice, lime peel, and vanilla extract. Blend well. Serve over sponge cake or rum cake.

    Serves: 6 to 8.
