    1 teaspoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon water
    1 package (10 ounces) frozen raspberries in light syrup, thawed
    1 teaspoon cherry-flavored brandy or 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Recipe



    In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Drain the syrup from the raspberries into a medium saucepan. Reserve the berries. Stir the cornstarch/water mixture into the syrup and cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for one (1) minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the reserved berries, brandy and vanilla. Cool to room temperature and chill before serving.
