    Looking in the fridge and freezer, you realize you have a few leftover of many different things. Here is a good way to throw them all together and get a tasty casserole.


    Choose one sauce maker:
    1 can (10-3/4oz) can cream of mushroom, or cream of celery, or cream of chicken or Cheddar cheese soups, undiluted or
    3 cans (14-1/2oz) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained

    Choose one frozen vegetable:
    1 (10oz)package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, or frozen cut broccoli, or frozen Italian green beans or frozen English peas or frozen whole kernel corn or
    1 package (16oz) frozen sliced yellow squash or

    Choose one pasta/rice:
    2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
    1 cup uncooked rice
    4 cups uncooked wide egg noodles
    3 cups uncooked medium shells

    Choose one meat/fish/poulty:
    2 cans (6oz) solid white tuna, drained and flaked
    2 cups cooked chicken
    2 cups chopped ham
    2 cups cooked turkey
    1 pound ground beef, browned and drained

    Choose one or more extras (optional):
    1 can(3oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/4 cup sliced ripe olives
    1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped celery
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 can(4.5oz) chopped green chilies
    1 package(1-1/4oz) taco seasoning

    Choose one or more toppings:
    1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
    1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumbs

    Recipe



    1. Combine 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup milk, 1 teapoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper with Sauce Maker(omit sour cream and milk when using tomatoes). Stir in Frozen Vegetable, Pasta/Rice, Meat/Fish/Poultry, and if desired Extras. Spoon into a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish; sprinkle with Toppings.

    2. Bake casserole, covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes; uncover and bake 10 more minutes. YIELD: 6 servings.

    Chicken Casserole: cream of chicken soup, broccoli, rice, chicken, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs

    Ham Casserole: cream of celery soup, green beans, egg noodles, ham, garlic, 2 portions of Swiss cheese

    Turkey Casserole: Italian-style diced tomatoes, spinach, medium pasta shells, turkey, onion, garlic, mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs

    Vegetarian Casserole: Italian-style tomatoes, yellow squash, rice, olives, 4 portions celery, 4 portions bell pepper, garlic, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs
