1-2/3 cups chicken stock
1 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 lb. canned stewed tomatoes
3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 cup frozen peas
2 cups cooked turkey or chicken, cubed
Recipe
Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 20 minutes. Stir in peas and turkey. Cover and cook 5 minutes more or until rice is done and most of liquid is absorbed.
