    Cherry Swirl Brownies

    2 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped, well drained maraschino cherries
    1 egg
    1 pkg. brownie mix (13x9 pan size) (or you could make brownie batter from scratch)
    water, oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix package

    Heat oven to 350*. Spray a 13x9 pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar and cherries and 1 egg with spoon until smooth. Make brownie batter as directed. Spread 1/2 of batter onto bottom of prepared pan. Top with cream cheese mixture. Spoon remaining brownie batter over top, careful to spread and cover the cream cheese. Bake 40-43 min or until toothpick inserted 2" from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely before cutting. Store covered in refrigerator.
