    Glazed Lemon Loaf

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter, melted
    • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
    • 1 cup milk
    • Grated peel of 1/2 a lemon
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • Lemon Glaze:
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


    Instructions


    1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In another bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Add dry ingredients. Stir until moistened. Turn into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. When cool, top with lemon glaze.
    2. Lemon Glaze: Combine sugar and lemon juice and mix until sugar dissolves. When loaf is almost cool, spoon mixture over top.
