    Yeast: Honey Whole Wheat Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 packages active dry yeast
    • 1 cup warm water
    • 1/4 cup melted margarine
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    • 1/2 cup oatmeal
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • About 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour


    Instructions


    1. In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir in margarine, honey, egg, whole wheat flour, oats, salt, and 1 cup of all purpose flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough remaining all purpose flour to form a soft dough.

    2. Turn onto floured surface and knead dough until smooth and elastic (about 6 minutes). Place in greased pan turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. Punch dough down.

    3. Shape into rolls. Place in greased baking pan. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Brush with margarine. Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
