    French Toast: Cinnamon French Toast Bake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    • 2 (14.4 ounce) cans Pillsbury refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
    • 6 eggs
    • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 cup chopped pecans
    • 1 cup maple syrup
    • Garnish:
    • icing from cinnamon rolls
    • powdered sugar
    • 1/2 cup maple syrup, if desired


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375.

    2. Pour melted butter into a 13x9" glass baking dish.

    3. Seperate both cans of dough into 16 rolls; set icing aside. Cut each roll into 8 pieces; place pieces over butter in dish.

    4. In a medium bowl, beat eggs.

    5. Beat in cream, cinnamon and vanilla until well blended; gently pour over roll pieces.

    6. Sprinkle with pecans and drizzle with 1 cup maple syrup.

    7. Bake at 375 for 20 to 28 minutes or until golden brown.

    8. Cool 15 minutes.

    9. Meanwhile, remove covers from icing; microwave on medium for 10 to 15 seconds or until drizzling consistency.

    10. Drizzle icing over top; sprinkle with powdered sugar.

    11. If desired, spoon syrup from dish over indavidual servings.

    12. Serve with the additional 1/2 cup of maple syrup.

    13. Yield: 12 servings, 440 calories each
