    Golden Peanut Butter Brownies

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2/3 cups butter, softened
    • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 1/4 cups sugar
    • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy.
    3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
    4. Spread evenly into well greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake 35 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool completely. Cut into 2 inch squares.


    Final Comments


    If a frosing is desired, sprinkle top of brownies, when removed from oven, with 1 cup of chocolate chips. Let stand about 5 minutes, until chips become shiny and soft; then spread chocolate evenly over top of brownies.
