    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup jif creamy peanut butter
    • 1/2 cup (1/2 stick) butter flavor crisco shortening
    • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 egg
    • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375.
    2. Combine peanut butter, shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
    3. Beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended.
    4. Add egg.
    5. Beat until just blended.
    6. Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
    7. Add to creamed mixture at low speed.
    8. Mix just until blended.
    9. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
    10. Flatten slightly in crisscross pattern with tines or fork.
    11. Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown.
    12. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
    13. Remove to racks to cool completely.
    14. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
