    Chicken: Crockpot Chicken And Dumplings

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 chicken breasts
    • 2 cans chicken broth
    • 1 cup water
    • 3 cubes chicken bouillon
    • 1 small carrot, chopped
    • 1 small rib celery, chopped
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 12 large flour tortillas


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot except tortillas.

    2. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours.

    3. Take out chicken and remove skin and bones.

    4. Place broth in a large pot on stove.

    5. Cut chicken into bite size pieces, return to broth.

    6. Bring to a slow boil (medium to medium high heat).

    7. Cut tortillas in half, then in 1" strips.

    8. Place strips into broth and boil gently for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    9. Broth should thicken, but if to thin, combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch with enough water to dissolve and stir into dumplings.

    10. Allow to cook 5 to 10 minutes more.
