Chicken: Crockpot Chicken

- I whole chicken (I use a perdue oven stuffer)
- 1 package dry Italian salad dressing mix
Instructions
- Using aluminum foil, make 3 fist sized balls and place them on the bottom of your crockpot.
- Remove the giblets from the chicken and place it breast side down on top of foil balls.
- Sprinkle the dry package of Italian salad dressing over the chicken.
- Cook on low (that's right, add no liquid) 6 to 8 hours.
- The foil balls keep the chicken out of the accumulated liquid, preventing it from steaming instead of roasting.
- Variations are endless, you can use any type of dry seasoning you like. I've tried a teriyaki one and ranch dressing, both good.
- I recommend mashed potatoes to go with accumulated juices.
