    Frosty Mandarin Dessert

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange slices
    • 2 (2 ounce) packages orange jello
    • 2 cups boiling water
    • 1 pint orange sherbert
    • Mint leaves (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Drain oranges, measuring syrup.
    2. Add water to syrup to make 1 cup.
    3. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    4. Add measured liquid.
    5. Add sherbert by spoonfuls, stirring until melted.
    6. Chill until thickened.
    7. Fold in oranges, reserving a few for garnish.
    8. Pour into a serving bowl, or individual serving dishes.
    9. Chill until set, atleast 1 hour.
    10. Garnish with reserved mandarin orange sections and mint leaves, if desired.
    11. Makes about 5 cups or 8 servings.
