    List of Ingredients


    • Bars:
    • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
    • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups Martha White Self-Rising Flour
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 1 cup chopped pecans
    • Glaze:
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of 13x9 inch pan. Melt 3/4 cup butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Add brown sugar, vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour and milk, mix well. Spread batter in greased pan; sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until top is deep golden brown. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled.
    2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in remaining glaze ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Drizzle glaze over cooled bars. Let stand until glaze is set. Cut into bars.
    3. Yield: 48 bars
