    SOS Sausage Gravy

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound pork sausage
    • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/3 cups evaporated milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


    Instructions


    1. Cook sausage in a heavy nonstick skillet until well browned, stirring to crumble.
    2. Remove with slotted spoon.
    3. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.
    4. Add flour to pan and cook 1 minute over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
    5. Add more milk for thinner gravy.
    6. Stir in pepper and sausage and cook until hot.
    7. Serve over biscuits or toast.
