    Linda's Lasagna Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
    • 8 lasagna noodles, cooked
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 2 cups homemade spaghetti sauce, or as much as you like
    • 4 large egg yolks, beaten
    • 6 teaspoons water or dry red wine
    • 1 cup cream style cottage cheese
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Brown sausage with onion in a skillet until done; drain. Stir in beaten egg yolks, cream style cottage cheese and parmesan cheese.
    2. Spread each lasagna noodle with 1/8 of the mixture. Roll up jelly roll style, starting at short edge. Place seam side down in a small greased baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    3. Stir together the spaghetti sauce and water or dry red wine. Pour on top of the lasagna rolls in the baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the lasagna rolls are heated through.
    4. Take out of oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Cook another 5 minutes to melt cheese.
